North Shields based accountants and business advisors Bell Tindle Williamson have promoted chartered accountant Steve Wrightson to a managerial position.

His new role will involve working closely with BTW’s five partners by taking on an extended role as a reviewer and supervisor of client work for clients across the practice.

Steve said: “I’m very pleased to be taking on this new role and the added responsibilities that go with it, and aim to use it as a platform from which to go as far as I can within the business.”

Hay & Kilner, the North East legal firm, have recruited two new partners to their Newcastle headquarters.

Richard Freeman-Wallace has been appointed to the firm’s commercial property division, while Alison Hall will also join as a partner.

Alison said: “Hay & Kilner has an incredibly strong reputation in the region for valuing its clients and its personable approach to individuals, which I think really suits my clients and my area of expertise and is one of the factors which attracted me to the firm.”

Hilton Newcastle Gateshead has welcomed its new general manager to lead the running of the landmark hotel.

Martin Robinson comes with almost 30 years experience within hospitality, and has worked with Hilton Worldwide for the last 14 years.

He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to head up an incredible team behind such an iconic Hilton hotel.

“The North East is known for its hospitality, and I’m hoping to harness this unique selling point in order to make the hotel even more desirable for visitors coming from far and wide.”
