Member News: Motivcom hand-picks the best talent as part of the 2011 graduate scheme
Motivcom has recruited five university graduates to take part in its 2011 graduate scheme.
This follows the success of the company’s graduate assessment centre, which was attended by potential employees who were assessed for their suitability to the roles. The graduate scheme is part of Motivcom’s commitment to invest, develop and retain staff.
The five graduates join Motivcom’s 2010 intake, who are completing the scheme after being recruited last year.
The new graduate recruits for 2011 are: Christopher Hobson, Liverpool John Moores University (Marketing); Sophia Tirelli, University of Chester (Event Management); Christopher White, University of Leeds (Geography); Heather Billings, University of Liverpool (Communication and Business); and Jessica Eades, Royal Holloway University of London (History).
The five graduates will work across several Motivcom divisions; AYMTM, Motivation, Employee Benefits, Sales Promotion and Zibrant, over the course of 18 months.
Michelle Lynch, group HR director of Motivcom, commented: “In the midst of recurrent bad news regarding graduate unemployment, coupled with the fact that many marketing services companies are freezing or reducing staff recruitment, we are pleased to invest in the future of these talented graduates. This year’s two-day graduate assessment centre was a real success and, as predicted, we received a high number of first-class applications, making the competition tough. It is Motivcom’s policy to support employees from the beginning of their careers, which is in line with our recent achievement of the rare Bronze accreditation of Investors In People.
“Motivcom has a fantastic track record of retaining staff. Our pledge is to develop each and every individual and ensure we nurture their strengths and support them to flourish.”
John Sylvester, Executive Director responsible for P&MM’s Motivation division, commented: “This is an invaluable opportunity and combines practical training in a ‘hands on’ environment, in which trainees can be mentored by the senior members of the company.”
