North East supplier of hydraulic platform systems leads the field
Newcastle based Warren Access, are hoping to cement their place as regional leaders in access hire equipment, with the acquisition of a revolutionary new piece of equipment.
The family run firm, who specialise in hydraulic platform equipment similar to cherry pickers, are working with distributors Ranger Group to offer the ‘Spiderlift’ to North East customers.
A unique format, the Spiderlift is compact and light, meaning it can be used both indoors and outdoors, for work that was previously inaccessible.
It can be used for restoration, maintenance or any other situation where access is needed at a height.
Partner at the company, Graeme Warren, was excited about the interest already revolving around the Spiderlift.
He said: “In some cases we were having to turn down work because our existing fleet was simply not suitable for the project.
“Now we tackle lots of different situations because the Spiderlift is really versatile - for instance we can take it up stairs and through doorways.
The machinery is a product of German company Teupen, and Warren are working closely with UK distributors Ranger Group, in a push to market the innovative new equipment to a wider customer base.
Managing director of Ranger Group, Steve Hadfield, said: “The team at Warren are really well positioned to break awareness of Spiderlift in the North East; as a family business they can really pore heart and soul into it.
“We can provide them with support and training, but ultimately they have had the foresight and really seized an opportunity to offer something different, which I think is a great move.”
Warren Access started in 1993, and has successfully grown, following expansion of their vehicle fleet.
So far the company have supplied equipment and expertise to a range of projects, from film sets to restoration of listed buildings.
