Asian businessman honoured twice in one week

Indian businessman Dr Rahul Nanda is celebrating after picking up two prestigious awards in the same week.

Dr Nanda, chairman of TOPSGRUP, India’s largest security company, was named Entrepreneur Of The Year at the GG2 Leadership Awards on Wednesday night and also took home the International Business Award at Monday night’s Asian Who’s Who event.

Speaking after Monday’s event at London’s Dorchester Hotel, Dr Nanda said: “I would like to thank Asian Who’s Who and the panel of judges for this truly humbling accolade.

“In addition, I would like to thank our 93,000 employees, 8,000 customers, my family and friends for believing in me and my global vision to make TOPSGRUP one of the largest and most reputed security companies in the world.

“It is the Asian community in which I have always been a part of that has instilled in me a value system that advocates helping others, doing good and showing gratitude every day.

“I am so proud of my Asian heritage, to which I attribute the success of TOPSGRUP today and to be recognised by Asian Who’s Who in this way makes me truly proud.”

TOPSGRUP had started out as struggling company, with revenues of just £30,000 pa, and 8 customers on the books.

Under Dr Nanda’s vision, the company grew into India’s largest security group, and a multi-national company following the acquisition of UK security outfit ‘The Shield Guarding Company Limited.’

He has since gone on to become one of the most prominent voices in the burgeoning Indian security sector.
