New letting agency creates jobs in Tyneside

A local lettings agency is bucking the trend, and is opening a fourth office as part of its exciting expansion programme.

The newest branch of KIS Lettings is located in South Tyneside, and will now create several new jobs in the area.

The business has gone from strength to strength since it opened in 2006, and the company director of KIS Lettings, Ajay Jagota is now hoping to expand the business further into the North East.

Mr Jagota commented:“ The new branch location places us alongside our competitors and is a strategic move to increase footfall into our offices.

“Meanwhile, I’ll be looking to recruit a further six new members of staff to work in the head office where we’ll manage online and phone enquiries from new and existing clients.”

Ajay formed the company after identifying a gap in the market for a competitively prices lettings management agency, and now manages properties for around 300 landlords.

The Mayor of South Tyneside, councillor Jim Sewell was there to mark the new office, located on Fowler Street, South Shields.

He added: “We’re delighted that Mr Jagota has chosen to open a second KIS Lettings office in South Shields and it was a pleasure to be involved in marking the official opening.

“The Council is committed to supporting local businesses and recognises the contribution they make to the vitality of the local economy.

“It is great to see a local business go from strength to strength and we look forward to seeing KIS enjoy continuing success here in South Tyneside.”
