Looking for a graduate?
Newcastle University’s Careers Service’s Graduate Apprentices scheme is a tried and tested model which opens the doors to new talent for north east SME’s.
Based on the success of the 2009-2011 Graduate Apprentices scheme, the Careers Service has recently obtained some additional funding to run it again, this time offering north east SME’s a £1200 subsidy towards the training and development needs of the graduate. All placements are based within the North East region, encompass a wide variety of sectors and offer a graduate level starting salary (£16k minimum).
We are offering £1200 funding (£100 a week for the initial 12 weeks of the graduates placement) in addition to a full recruitment package including short listing, candidate screening and interview support.
If you’re looking to employ a graduate into a new role, I would like to invite you to submit a business profile. We now only have enough funding to subsidise more 10 Graduate roles, so get your profile in quickly! Subsidies will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Eligible candidates must have graduated from Newcastle University in either 2009, 2010 or 2011.
We’re also hoping to secure some additional funding early next year to support more graduate apprentice placements – if you’d like to register your interest for this and be kept up to date with new Graduate Apprentice opportunities, please complete the Business Register of Interest form.
