We are here to help you recruit our students and graduates, raise your profile and act as a link between your organisation and the University. We provide high quality, professional and cost effective services to local, national and international organisations. We currently have funding to support both student and graduate placements with local SMEs: The Graduate Apprentices scheme is a low risk, low cost way to introduce a graduate into the business. We offer a free comprehensive recruitment service from advertising to interview as well as 50% of a £16,000 p/a salary for 12 weeks (£2,500 funding). Only North East based SME’s are eligible for our funding and the starting salary must be at least £16,000 p/a. The scheme is open to graduates from any UK University, as long as they graduated in the last three years – this means we’ll be advertising the roles on a national scale to attract the best possible talent. NWE: The Newcastle Work Experience (NWE) term-time scheme offers small and medium sized, North East based organisations the opportunity to utilise the skills of a talented Newcastle University student. Through project based work placements, NWE can present a cost effective and flexible solution to short term business needs while also bringing fresh perspective to the organisation. Through our term-time placements, we support the business to recruit a student for 100 hours, part time, at a cost of only £300 (plus VAT).
