KPMG gather regional business community’s favourite recipes

Employees of KPMG in Newcastle have published a cookbook to raise money for children’s charity Barnardo’s.

The book is filled with the favourite recipes of KPMG’s North East business contacts, and covers everything from gourment dinner party treats to mid week bites.

Contributions have come from top chefs from the region’s hotels and restaurants, financial directors, business owners and of course the number crunchers themselves.

KPMG are encouraging the business community to shell out just £5 for the book.

Mick Thompson, KPMG’s Newcastle office senior partner said: “The business brains of the North East are certainly creative when it comes to cuisine; from soufflé to syllabub and coconut chicken to chocolate dreams, there’s a wealth of foodie ideas and inspiration.

“As you’d expect from an auditor I just had to have a quick review of the data and thought I’d share a trend I noted for those in industry to like spicy food while the accountants demonstrate a collective sweet tooth. Not sure it’s material!”

Suzi Campbell, Community Fundraiser for Barnardo’s North East, added: “I’d like to extend a hearty thank you to the many business people across the region who took the time and trouble to share their favourite foods and help us to raise funds to help vulnerable children.”

Those who are interested in buying a copy should contact KPMG’s Debbie Lister at Debbie.lister@kpmg.co.uk.
