Business law firm, DWF, has recruited banking and finance expert Deborah Kirtley, as a partner in its Newcastle office.

Deborah brings over twenty years’ industry experience across banks and borrowers, and the appointment follows DWF’s recent merger with Crutes, expanding its presence in the North East.

John Flynn, executive partner of DWF’s Newcastle office commented: “We are committed to providing commercial advice tailored to clients’ business needs and Deborah’s experience is strongly aligned with DWF’s sector specialist apporach, making her the ideal person to drive our offer forwards.”

Evolution LLP, the North East accountancy firm, has made a number of internal appointments across their offices in Wynyard and Hartlepool.

Joanne Regan becomes an associate member, John Kearney has taken up the post of senior client partner and Andrew Rowe will take on new duties.

Lee Watson has been named as a senior tax manager, and Emily Bentley has been promoted to marketing and business development manager.

National commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed two new graduate Surveyors at its Newcastle office on Grey Street.

Simon Hill has taken up position within the office’s Agency department, and David Doogan is working within the Professional department of LSH’s Newcastle office.

National qualifications provider NCFE, has welcomed three new directors to its Board including chair, Terry Hodgkinson (CBE).

David Allison, commercial director of the Footprint Group Ltd and Roy Sandbach, research fellow at Proctor & Gamble R&D, join Terry, bringing a wealth of business experience to the organisation.

David Grailey, chief executive at NCFE, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Terry, David and Roy to our Board. These appointments will further enhance our established team of highly skilled directors, who continue to bring innovative ways of working and fresh ideas to our organisation.”

Bus operator, Stagecoach North East, has appointed Mike Watson as company operations director.

Mike brings with him over 15 years of experience in the transport industry and has announced ambitious plans to help drive the company forward.

Speaking of his appointment, Mike said: “Everyone at Stagecoach North East has been really welcoming and I’m looking forward to working with the senior management team and the wider workforce.

“I’m delighted to have been offered the chance to return to the North East and to join such an established and successful company.
