Franchisor Awards looks for success stories
The 2012 bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards are accepting entries from businesses which are thriving through innovative approaches.
The British Franchise Association wants UK franchisors of any size or sector to inspire the future generation with their success stories.
Now it their 23rd year, the awards celebrate the entire franchising community from customers and suppliers through to potential franchisees.
Applications are open for three awards, including Franchisor of the Year, Franchisee Support Award and Brand Builder of the Year Award.
Dean Chapman, head of franchising and field service for McDonald’s Restaurants, the 2011 winners, said: “We are thrilled to be presented with such a prestigious industry award.
“The core of our focus is our franchisees and providing them with the right support, training and development opportunities so we can help them be the best and set the standard across our industry.
“Winning this award is a reflection of our dedication as a team to being a leading franchisor and we are delighted this has been recognised amongst this influential audience.”
Brian Smart, Director General, bfa, said: “Each year the Awards uncover the most remarkable success stories in franchising and the extraordinary people that drive these businesses, large and small, to greatness.
“The winners set high standards to inspire and motivate others across the UK to employ fresh and effective ways to achieve business success.”
Cathryn Hayes, Head of Franchising, HSBC, said: “With the right business strategies in place, franchising is an effective model which supports the growth of thousands of businesses across the UK every year.
“The bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards uncover inspirational examples of this from across the industry.
“Previous winners illustrate how implementing the right systems can carry the network, along with maximising potential for the brand and supporting franchisees. If you are one of these businesses we want to hear from you.”
