Face of Daisy Green Magazine winner revealed!

We can now reveal the winner of our find the Face of Daisy Green Magazine competition.

At the end of last year we started a Facebook campaign to find the face of our printed spring issue and were overjoyed with the number of entrants. A big thank you to everyone who entered and to the many more who voted for their favourite!

We are pleased to announce the lucky winner as Kate Blackett. Kate, who hails from Durham, had a fabulous time on our first ever photo shoot and the icing on the cake was when she found out she’d won.

Here her story…

How long have you been modelling for?

I have been modelling for just under a year now, although I have modelled here and there in the past.

How does it feel to be the winner of the Face of Daisy Green Magazine and to be on the spring front cover?

It’s a fantastic feeling especially as I usually don’t enter competitions. I’m thrilled, it’s a great achievement for me as I promote curves as a model and I’m passionate about it. It will be lovely to see a normal girl on the cover of a great magazine that has an edge over so many other magazines.

What did you enjoy most about our photo shoot?

I had a fab day with the Daisy Green team, it was great fun with brilliant team of people. And I must admit I’ve fallen in love with the beautiful white summer dress from Nomads that I wore on the shoot!

What advice would you have for aspiring models?

My advice would be to listen to advice wisely, take care of yourself and keep your feet on the ground. Follow your dreams and stay focused!

What is a common misconception about the modelling industry?

That it’s always glam! My first job was trekking through a field of cow poo in February! Also that it’s just smiling in front of a camera all day… it’s not! It’s a lot of hard work.

Keep your eyes peeled to see our spring issue online very soon! All of our entrants can find their picture on our inside back cover as a special thanks for being part of this campaign.

If you would like a free printed copy, please send an A5 (or larger) stamped addressed envelope to:
