South East Businesses learn performance from Olympics
Last week, businesses from the South East attended a CIMA event at the Holiday Inn at Gatwick Airport on performance management with a speaker from London 2012. London will soon be hosting the Olympic games for the first time in 64 years. This event hosted by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants showed local businesses about the Olympic Delivery Authority, including the Olympic Park, transport arrangements and what measures will be taken to report performance.
Stephanie Clackworthy, CIMA Area Chair for the South East, said, “Chartered Management Accountants operate in all areas of organisations with a commercial and forward looking focus. Management accountants operate in financial and non-financial roles throughout organisations and carry fulfill their training and experience requirements within business itself, providing them with a unique insight into how their organisations operate.”
