Leading industry awards open to celebrate top franchisors

The 2012 bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards, supported by Express Newspapers, are now open for entries. With franchising continuing to perform strongly despite the challenging economic climate, the bfa is seeking those exceptional businesses which are thriving through innovative approaches and smart businesses thinking to come forward and share their successes. The bfa is encouraging UK franchisors of any size or sector to tell their stories and inspire the next generation of franchisors.

The Awards, in their 23rd year, present an opportunity for winning businesses to be recognised as leaders not only in the franchising community but also amongst customers, suppliers and potential franchisees. An Award also provides a motivational boost for franchisees in appreciation of their hard work.

McDonald’s Restaurants was crowned 2011 overall winner and Dean Chapman, Head of Franchising and Field Service, commented on achieving the award: “We are thrilled to be presented with such a prestigious industry award. The core of our focus is our franchisees and providing them with the right support, training and development opportunities so we can help them be the best and set the standard across our industry. Winning this award is a reflection of our dedication as a team to being a leading franchisor and we are delighted this has been recognised amongst this influential audience.”

Applications are now open for the three awards:

The bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Award;

The HSBC Franchisee Support Award;

The Express Newspapers Brand Builder of the Year Award

Cathryn Hayes, Head of Franchising, HSBC, said:
