New York firm choose Gateshead for European office
A New York based mobile design and development agency is the latest company to move into Gateshead’s Northern Design Centre.
American agency Fueled has chosen the Northern Design Centre as the location for its first European office.
The firm have provided their services to a number of high-profile worldwide brands such as Porsche, MTV, Ducati and Malibu.
Their move is part of a three-year deal to take 452 sq ft of space in the centre, as they begin ambitious plans to grow business in the UK.
Rob Palmer from Fueled said: “Since the launch of Fueled early last year, we have experienced rapid growth in employment, with the agency now standing at 22 fulltime staff.
“These include UI Designers, iOS and Web Developers, Producers, Strategists and an Animation team. Despite our ethos to employ the best people for the job regardless of their geo-location, we have been lucky enough to find a fantastic set of UK based designers.
“In turn, setting up a UK based branch of our agency was natural progression. We are all very excited about our new home in the Northern Design Centre.”
The Design Centre was awarded £4.95 million from the European Union’s European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Competitiveness Programme 2007-13, in addition to Single Programme Funding.
