DUCO honoured at industry awards ceremony
DUCO Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Technip have been named as Subsea Company of the Year at the Subsea UK 2012 Business Awards.
The firm was given the award to acknowledge its continuous contribution to the umbilical industry, including commercial performance, innovation, the development of its workers and commitment to health, safety and environment.
Technip specialises in project management, engineering and construction for the energy industry, while DUCO have built up a strong reputation for the assembly of steel tubes and hydraulic hoses used to control subsea structures from a platform or a vessel.
Commenting on the award, Jean-Louis Rostaing, DUCO’s managing director said: “We are dedicated to honoring our commitments and used to meeting or exceeding the expectations of our clients, as we help them take up their greatest challenges,”
“We are honored our efforts and performance have been recognized by Subsea UK as we are currently going through a major upgrade of our Newcastle-upon-Tyne plant to strengthen our position on this market.”
This upgrade with create a state-of-the art research and development facility dedicated to technological breakthroughs which the company hopes will result in a revolution throughout the entire umbilical industry.
