Ambulance Firm Right on Time

As public sector budgets are slashed and under attack from all angles, a leading North East Ambulance firm is answering the call from the NHS to deliver patients to vital health care appointments on time.

Less then 10 years after the business was started, Medical Services North East, based in Durham, is now a multi award winning company providing an ambulance service to NHS Trusts, Private Hospitals and Social Services to help with the safe transportation of their patients.

The Multi award winning company provides staff and vehicles ranging from non emergency transport for appointments and discharges to fully equipped front line emergency ambulances for a one off transfer or more permanent contracts to assist in meeting stringent targets of its clients.

Commercial director Joanne Hall said, Now is a tough time for many NHS trusts having to cut back on services and focus more on efficiencies than ever before, operating at short notice 24 hours a day we are able to offer help and cost savings with patient care that is second to none

Using their extensive skills and experience they have also been able to diversify and now offer Event Medical Cover for many events throughout the north east such as horse trials, mountain biking events to international boxing tournaments and high profile music festivals.

Although focused on patient care and delivering patients on time, the company has set about raising the standards of the industry and as well as gaining accreditations to the British Ambulance Association, Health and Safety Executive and the prestigious Investor In People award within the first 12 months of starting they have continued to strive for excellence and recognition for the benefit of those they serve.

Wayne Hall, Managing Director said ‘During 2010 we won the North East Small Business of The Year award and a Business Leadership Award, followed in 2011 with the Growth In Business Award, approval from the Care Quality Commission then we went on to gain the internationally recognised ISO 9001 and finally the Best Service Business award at the beginning of December. 2011 was possibly our most successful year yet, with a huge Increase in the work we do and more awards but we have a feeling 2012 is going to be our best ever and we are really looking forward to it’
