Black Country LEP points SME overseas
A Black Country rail industry supplier has secured funding to break into international markets, after receiving support through the Local Enterprise Partnership.
SCG Solutions Ltd in Stourbridge attended the Black Country LEP’s access to finance events, designed to give businesses the opportunity to meet leading finance providers and banks.
Director Steve Marsh met with various high street banks and consultants who specialise in arranging finance for business.
As a result, he enlisted the help of local finance firm Central Finance, who helped his company raise funding to enter the overseas export market.
Mr Marsh, said: “The main benefit of attending the event is that you’re able to make contact with many types of finance providers all at the same time.
“Central Finance provided an open and honest viewpoint of all the options that were available
to my business.
“They listened to what I needed and acted on my behalf to secure the right facility for me. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to take my business forward and looking forward to working with a wider market.”
Stewart Towe, chair of the Black Country LEP, said: “The Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership’s primary objective is to help remove barriers to business growth.
“The access to finance events proved to be very successful and we are delighted to have helped firms access funding to help take their operations to a new level.”
