DurhamGate launches bespoke home programme

A County Durham regeneration scheme has announced the launch of a new bespoke home building programme as part of its residential property initiatives.

DurhamGate have released an initial seven plots, on which purchasers will be able to input on key design aspects including the exterior, interior layout, room sizes and kitchen and bathroom design.

The five bedroom homes will all have a southern aspect, with a scenic view of the County Durham landscape.

The home will form part of a development of 70 houses, which will be overseen by Durhamgate developers, a partnership between Carillion Developments and Arlington Real Estate and built by Taylor Wimpey.

A second tranche of 67 homes will also be built this year at DurhamGate by Yuill Homes.

Allan Cook from Arlington Real Estate, said: “This bespoke housing programme is ideal for discerning occupiers who want to design their own home. There is a demand for high quality housing in this price range and this development provides the opportunity to secure a property in what is becoming a very desirable location in County Durham.

“Alongside the new homes being introduced by Yuill and Taylor Wimpey, the properties will enhance the strong blend of homes, business and leisure opportunities planned for DurhamGate.”

£45 million of committed investment has already been made in the development, establishing DurhamGate as the region’s largest landmark mixed-use regeneration project incorporating commercial, living and leisure opportunities.
