NE Expo makes grand stand for regional business

The North East’s largest free business to business event is under starter’s orders and looks set to be a record breaking event as the final furlong approaches.

The NE Expo, which will be held at Newcastle Racecourse on 18 April, is proving to be an important event in the regional business calendar and gives the opportunity for thousands of B2B visitors to meet more than 200 businesses, attend master classes and network with new contacts. The event is free to attend and is open to all entrepreneurs and businesses in the UK.

Now in its third year, this will be the fourth NE Expo and organisers Andrew Charlton of BACK Consulting and Network North founder Marc Gordon are looking forward to another successful event.

“Every year, interest in the event grows,” said Marc. “This year is no exception. We have a staggering 225 companies booked up and we’re expecting to welcome around 1,800 people through the doors on the day. It will be a fantastic opportunity for networking, learning and developing new business ideas.”

Andrew agreed.“ Although all of our trade stands are fully booked up, we still have capacity for businesses to come along to the event to network and attend the master classes. It’s a free event and our master class line up is better than ever.“

Indeed, one of the highlights of the NE Expo for many visitors is the free master classes delivered by leading figures in their field. The line-up this year includes BBC TV’s ,The Apprentice finalist, Jamie Lester, Newcastle Eagles Fab Flournoy , reality TV star, “Corporal” Richard Nauyokas from ITV’s Bad Lads Army who will give a talk on military based motivation, multi million pound online entrepreneur Dan Foskett and Run Geordie Run’s Mark Allison.

Mark will be presenting his master class based on his epic coast to coast run across the USA in just 100 days raising more than £100,000 for his chosen charities. Next year, Mark plans to run from Perth to Sydney a distance of 2600 miles covering 41 miles per day in just 70 days.

“Everything that I do to achieve my running targets can be adapted to the business world,” said Mark.

“My presentation will be about how you can achieve your dreams through planning, determination and a will to succeed and I hope it will convince businesses to go that extra mile and achieve the rewards that are there to be taken.
