FAB line up for NE Expo

One of the tallest men in sport has linked up with two of the biggest names in business networking in time for the North East’s largest free business to business event takes place next Wednesday (18th April)

The NE Expo, which will be held at Newcastle Racecourse is proving to be an important event in the regional business calendar and gives the opportunity for thousands of B2B visitors to meet more than 200 businesses, attend master classes and network with new contacts. The event is free to attend and is open to all entrepreneurs and businesses in the UK.

Organisers Andrew Charlton of BACK Consulting and Network North founder Marc Gordon have giant 6 feet 4 inches Newcastle Eagles basketball star, Fab Flournoy to the line-up of experts giving master class sessions to the expected 1800 businesses who will attend the event.

As the most decorated player-coach in British basketball history, Fab’s coaching career began in Newcastle in 2001and has resulted in an amazing 13 trophies including four league titles, four championship playoffs, four BBL Trophies and a BBL Cup victory.

The charismatic New Yorker grew up in the Bronx before going to college in Texas. Upon graduating he started his career in the UK at Birmingham before continuing on to play a year at Sheffield before obtaining British citizenship and arriving at Newcastle.

Known as a perfectionist with an enormous will to win, Fab will deliver a master class based on his experiences in coaching at the highest level.

“Business is like basketball, you have to lay the right foundations and grow your confidence levels. You have to be in it to win it,” he said.

Other master classes this year will include BBC TV’s ,The Apprentice finalist, Jamie Lester, reality TV star, “Corporal” Richard Nauyokas from ITV’s Bad Lads Army who will give a talk on military based motivation, multi million pound online entrepreneur Dan Foskett and Run Geordie Run’s Mark Allison.
