Branson’s “screw business” competition judging panel revealed

The judging panel for Sir Richard Branson’s Screw Business As Usual competition has been revealed.

Launched in November 2011, the competition aims to find the ideas from around the world that are “screwing business as usual” and stepping out to make the world a better place.

Jane Tewson CBE, founder of not-for-profit company Igniting Change and Ernst and Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 brings her experience in seeding new and innovative ideas for social action to the judging panel.

Serial entrepreneur Creel Price, who at the age of 25 co-founded Blueprint Management Group with $5,000 in capital and sold it a decade later for over $100m is also a judge, with his experience of running Club Kidpreneur Foundation, a social enterprise that assists youths in starting and growing their own micro-enterprise.

Tony Bank, chairman of Balhousie Care Group and philanthropist who has appeared on popular television programmes including Channel 4’s The Secret Millionaire will also join the group.

As does Mark Thompson, an entrepreneur operating across 10 global companies with a multitude of titles and involvements, as well as being a venture capitalist, executive coach, bestselling author and Broadway producer.

Rounding up the judging table is Joe Polish, founder and president of Piranha Marketing Inc. Joe is creator of the Genius Network Interview Series, The Genius Network Mastermind and co-founder of I Love Marketing, a popular itunes podcast.

The contest remains open until midnight on Tuesday April 17, after which the top 10 ideas, as voted for by the public, will be judged by Sir Richard and his panel.
