Next Stop Wembley for Dunston UTS FC
Dunston UTS FC, who are currently lying fourth in Division one in the Northern League, are on their way to Wembley for the FA Carlsberg Vase Final.
The fixture which will take place on 13th May 2012 will see the side playWest Auckland who finished 6th, one place above Dunston UTS in the table last season.
Astley is proud to be one the main sponsors of the team and has been a recognised name on their away kit for five seasons. Syd Bambrough, Senior Account Manager at Astley and Commercial Manager at the club says, “Reaching the final is the culmination of all the hard work and dedication of the playing squad and the club’s management structure. This is the first time in the history of the club that we have achieved such a feat and it is an exciting time not only for the club, but for the fans as well.”
The club began life in 1975 when a team led by John Thompson from Her Majesty’s Stationery Office in Gateshead joined the Newcastle City Amateur League.
