TTE establish new pipeline training programme

TTE Technical Training Group have joined forces with The Academy of Joint Integrity to offer a new specialist pipeline training programme.

The day-long programme is designed to increase competencies and ensure pipeline integrity through the reduction of joint leakage, and will be delivered by TTE from their training facility in Middlesbrough.

The Academy of Joint Integrity is part of the FDS Group, and includes several of the most visible players in the global sealing industry.

Each of the seven programmes are accredited by the Energy Institute, and focus on a range of specific areas of pipeline integrity including the assemble of hand and hydraulic bolted flange connections and the management of joint integrity for pressurised systems.

John Taylor, Business Development Manager at The TTE Technical Training Group, said: “This new relationship between TTE and the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of gaskets and seals will further enhance the delivery of standardised training for those involved in joint integrity.

“TTE works closely with industry to ensure personnel are equipped with relevant and up to date skills and qualifications to meet the challenges of their sectors. As such, TTE has invested in the development of the Dorman Long Building, which, as part of our wider training provision in Middlesbrough, exceeds the requirements for the delivery of these programmes.”

The specialist facilities will also include a CompExMechanical Training Unit for the upskilling of technicians and engineers working in hydrocarbon environments.

Alex Lattimer, Commercial Director for The Academy of Joint Integrity, said: “We are delighted to work with TTE to run these programme through their high quality technical training facilities, which reflect the standard of the training the Academy delivers.

“The skills and accreditation provided by these programmes form an essential part of the competence assurance process for personnel working on mechanical joints.”
