Morrison selects Ryzex for Mobile Device Management

Leading services company engages Ryzex, Motorola and 1st Touch to deliver a

semi-ruggedised and sustainable mobile solution

Wiltshire, UK. 25 April 2012. Morrison, the UK’s leading responsive repairs and maintenance service provider for the housing sector, has signed a mobile device management contract with Ryzex, a leading expert in deploying and managing enterprise-wide mobility solutions. Ryzex, together with its partners Motorola Solutions and 1st Touch, will provide Morrison with a comprehensive semi-ruggedised mobile solution to enable the company to maximise the effectiveness of front-line staff and improve the reliability and longevity of its mobile equipment.

Under the terms of the new contract, Ryzex will supply the company with over 1200 Motorola ES400 handsets for use by Morrison front-line operatives who carry out repairs and maintenance works to over 500,000 properties on behalf of the company’s nationwide client base.

The semi-ruggedised devices will be used with the 1st Touch mobile software platform, enabling Morrison to easily support the activities of its operatives by optimising job scheduling and minimising operatives’ downtime.

By renewing its current range of handsets with the Motorola ES400s, Morrison aims to reduce its mobile device replacement rate by as much as 20%, which will help it maximise operative’s availability, minimise their carbon footprint and increase their productivity levels; thereby creating a more sustainable mobility strategy for the company.

The Ryzex mobile solution offers full support services to Morrison, including an emergency next day exchange policy, ensuring that unforeseen downtime does not significantly impact the company. This emergency exchange policy also guarantees that devices have an extended life cycle of no less than three years, so replacement rates and costs are minimised.
