Reaffirming Commitments

The Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister will speak together at an event to reaffirm their commitment to the Coalition.

The comes in the wake of a series of gaffes by both parties, as well as massive losses in last week’s local elections. David Cameron is expected to reaffirm his commitment to plans to tackle the deficit and rebuild the economy, but is this really possible under the current austerity regime?

Furthermore, is the fact that the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats are unable to reconcile their differences proving to be a serious hindrance to progress in government?
