Jessica’s Next Top Model!
At only, 27 Jessica McLean has 21 years experience in the modelling industry. She modelled as a youngster and was trained by America’s Next Top Model’s top runway coach Miss J Alexander. Now, international model Jessica McLean is preparing to scout for Newcastle’s Next Top Model.
Jessica is offering exclusive workshops to wannabe models this Saturday (19th May) in Eldon Gardens. The workshops will teach girls how to walk the runway and how to look and feel confident when entering the modelling industry.
Models will be given a make-over from Y salon and a VERB ball dress to wear for taking on the catwalk where the real scouting begins. Jessica will be looking for models with potential, who will then be asked to model for Newcastle Fashion Week’s Eldon Garden event ‘Catwalks, Cupcakes & Cocktails’ on 1 June.
Jessica said “as a young girl I always wanted to get into modelling, I was one of the fortunate ones and had a lucky break into the industry this event could be a springboard for up and coming models from Newcastle.”
Aspiring models will be able to take away photographs and a free clutch bag courtesy of VERB worth £26, as well as being entered into a draw to win a Pandora bracelet with charm.
There are two workshops taking place, Session 1: 10am-12pm and Session 2: 2pm-4pm and each session will cost £25pp. For more information, search ‘Lights, Camera, Scouted’ on Facebook or contact 07783633127.
Operations Manager of Eldon Gardens, David Mains, said “Lights Camera Scouted is the perfect opportunity for Eldon Gardens to find models to take part in our event for Newcastle Fashion Week on 1 June and to give young women the chance to learn from an expert in the fashion industry.”
As well as modelling workshops on the day, large Bokwa classes (the new Zumba!) will be taking place in Eldon Gardens between 12pm-1pm and 1pm-2pm at the cost of £5pp with the renowned Cherry Dance.
