International energy firm set up in Lincoln
International energy services company, Wood Group GTS, is set to locate a new gas turbine facility in Lincoln.
The 10,000 sq ft facility is located at Sadler Park, and will provide industrial and office accommodation.
It will act as a regional hub for a specialist team of workshop and field service engineers, business development, technical support and customer service personnel.
Closely linked to Wood Group GTS’ Houston and Aberdeen workshops, the Sadler Park location will focus on complementary support services for the Siemens and Solar range of gas turbines and refurbishment of power generation packages.
Iain Murray, Oil Gas and Industrial Services President of Wood Group GTS stated: “Expansion in the UK is a key part of our growth strategy.
“Sadler Park is an ideal location for our business, as the new facility will provide a hub for personnel located in the region and will enable us to better serve our expanding customer base.
“The existing infrastructure and long association Lincoln has with world class gas turbine design and manufacture were important factors in the final selection of this location.”
