Midlands retailer reveals expansion plans

A Midlands retailer has defied difficult economic times by revealing extensive expansion plans for the coming year.

Tile Choice, who already have 15 stores in the area, have plans for a number of store openings over the coming months. The retailer have witnessed a 14% year on year sales growth, which has been attributed to the firms’ excellent customer service strategy. They were recently awarded the Excellence in Multiple Retailing award from The Tile Association, in recognition of their continued success.

Explaining their plans, marketing manager Lee Rudkin said: “By making careful investments in a bespoke management system, new products, in store displays and staff training, we aim to drive customers into stores and engage in a more personal shopping experience.

“As all good retailers know, trade attracts trade and by moving people away from online shopping and back into our shops, we are able to grow our network of stores and therefore bring more business to the surrounding local shopping areas.

“We also aim to continually drive our brand awareness, as being in such a competitive industry, it is vital we stay at the forefront of our customer’s minds, for the right reasons.”

The firm are passionate about changing the perception of the retail industry and are working towards attracting business back into the local economy.

Lee continued: “We’re extremely proud to be recognised by the TTA for the work our dedicated team have put into making our business such a success, which in turn has allowed us to continue to expand the company throughout the Midlands and beyond.

“And our recent sponsorship of Walsall FC and the subsequent branding of the main stand at the ground has seen some very positive feedback from both our domestic and trade customers and we are continuing a programme of activity within the community to further support our local area.”

The next store openings will be in Kettering and Corby, which will launch by the end of the month and like all Tile Choice stores, both locations have been specifically chosen to engage the high footfall and passing traffic in the area.
