Nottingham IT firm invests £325,000 in expansion
A Nottingham IT firm have invested £325,000 in plans which will allow them to further expand their technological solutions service.
Air-IT have purchased a 2,000 square foot space adjacent to their current office, and will initially use the first floor and rent the remaining 1000 square foot ground floor space as a fully serviced office.
Formed in 2005 by Todd McQuilkin, Air-IT has experienced significant growth in recent years moving into its current premises in 2010 and now employing 14 people.
Todd McQuilkin, Managing Director said: “We needed to expand operations to meet the growing demand of our ever increasing client base and required additional floor space to do so.
“We are delighted to acquire the neighbouring building which means we can roll out our
expansion plans seamlessly and continue to offer clients the best possible support and
guidance with their business technology needs.”
The company provides outsourced IT support and managed services to businesses across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands. It offers a wide range of tailored IT services from cloud computing and virtualisation solutions to installations and managed IT support and can effectively act as a company’s in-house IT Department or complement existing resources.
Air-IT has a diverse range of clients across the East Midlands including Nottingham companies Skills Motor Coaches, Future Health Technologies, Eden Day Spa, RH Commercials and Price and Buckland.
The additional space with be utlised by Air-IT to expand their current operations to cater for the increased demand for their services. It will be used for extra office space and the creation of a purpose-built high-tech training suite providing a range of customised training programmes to clients and internal staff.
The Help Desk Department, the hub of the company’s IT support delivery, will also be expanded to cover the entire ground floor of the existing offices. Air-IT has already taken on one new member of staff to cope with an increasing workload and will be recruiting further staff in the near future as the expansion programme is rolled out during 2012.
