Enigma countdown to Diamond Jubilee Beacon Events

Enigma were approached to design, develop and brand The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Beacons site by the event’s official organisers, Diamond Jubilee Beacons Ltd.

The website was originally created to help attract 2012 Beacon Events across the UK and commonwealth to hold Beacon Events of their own to celebrate. It is one of the celebrations announced by Buckingham Palace on the extended Bank Holiday central weekend of 2nd - 5th June 2012.

It’s safe to say that the original Beacon event target has now been well and truly smashed and the current Beacon Event count exceeds 4000 across the UK. The site is currently being used by visitors from around the world who wish to find out more information about the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Beacons events and locate their nearest local event to join in on this international celebration. The site features an Interactive map supplied by Jim Sibbald atESRI which shows every registered Jubilee Beacon event across UK, the latest news surrounding national events and a clever search facility.

“ I am very pleased to have chosen Enigma / Sitebuilder as the Digital Agency for this huge project. Considering the amount of traffic the site is now getting and the resources available on the site to over 4000 different organisations throughout the world, I couldn’t have picked a more flexible and fast reacting partner on the project. Enigma were creative in their choices of the site’s images and layout and also helped me to design the logo for the whole project in the process“ .

Spike Allibone - Managing Director - Night Train Productions Ltd.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Beacons website has been designed and developed by Enigma using its SiteBuilder Bespoke platform– and we’re exceptionally proud of the royal site!

Not only this, but our clever design team also created the official logo for the event, as part of our design and branding work.

“We were delighted to be involved in this project. It’s really inspiring to work on a web project which encourages people around the world to celebrate such a historic and important event and we’re thrilled to have been given the opportunity to do so.“

Steve Grainger, Managing Director, Enigma Interactive
