Olympic torch relay in North Tyneside: 15th June
The Olympic Torch Relay will be in North Tyneside on the afternoon of 15 June from just after 2pm until around 4.45pm. The torch will make its way along the Coast, through Tynemouth, North Shields and Howdon before concluding its journey through North Tyneside in Wallsend.
Evidence so far suggests that thousands of people will line the route presenting opportunities for businesses as crowds gather to support the torch.
Businesses will also need to be aware of the potential for traffic disruption due to the road closure programme associated with the torch and should plan accordingly. Full details of the torch route and timings can be found on the [Council website](http://bdaily.co.uk/member/content/stories/edit/olympic-torch-relay-in-north-tyneside-15-june/ http:/www.northtyneside.gov.uk/browse.shtml?p_subjectCategory=1448).
