Anderson Barrowcliff LLP scores with charity football tournament
Anderson Barrowcliff LLP, a firm of Chartered Accountants based in the Tees Valley, has raised £600 for Butterwick Hospice Care following a charity 5-a-side football tournament at Goals Soccer Centre on Tuesday 29th May.
Twelve teams from businesses across the North East took part in the event which included a team from Anderson Barrowcliff LLP and Butterwick Hospice Care. After the competition’s final, the winners were presented with the 2012 tournament trophy, whilst players had an opportunity to enjoy a buffet and network with other participants.
Nick Upton, Partner at Anderson Barrowcliff LLP said “It has been a terrific event which has brought together some of the area’s business community to raise money for a worthy cause. We are real advocates of Butterwick Hospice Care’s work which provides specialist care to children and adults suffering life limiting illnesses and offers support to their loved ones.
Diane Williamson from Butterwick Hospice Care said “It’s fantastic that Anderson Barrowcliff LLP have helped to encourage other businesses to raise money for Butterwick Hospice Care.
“It is vital that we continue to receive this support as fundraising events account for half of our funding. We hope that local businesses remain to give us their backing so we can continue to deliver care for people across Teesside and the North East.”
Anderson Barrowcliff LLP has been a corporate supporter of the Butterwick Hospice Care since 2010 and will continue to find new ways of raising money for the charity. Any suggestions for future fundraising please contact Matthew Gallagher on 01642 660300 or firstname.lastname@example.org
