Nexus drives ahead with multiple contract wins

Nexus Vehicle Rental, the UK’s leading provider of vehicle rental supply, outsourced rental management and systems, has secured a clutch of major new contracts reinforcing its recent growth performance and listing within this year’s Sunday Times Profit Track 100.

The game-changing capabilities of Nexus are reflected in the wide range of rental services provided, including supply, systems, rental management and brand extension agreements. Through its innovative IRIS (Intelligent Rental Information Software) platform, Nexus offers customers access to a secure, web-based system to manage the full rental process, provide total cost control and deliver real time, tailored reporting.

Representing a range of business sectors, these five new contracts demonstrate the breadth of Nexus’ service provision and expertise within the corporate sphere. Through Nexus, each new client now has access to a broader range of rental services and systems, and improved supply across all vehicle types from standard to highly specialist.

The first new contract win for Nexus is with one of the UK’s largest independent contract hire and leasing specialists, Ogilvie Fleet Ltd. The company is utilising Nexus’ software systems to expand its rental proposition to customers through access to an enlarged supply chain and reduced overheads thanks to Nexus’ efficient management processes.

Operating in over 80 countries, infrastructure services giantBalfour Beattyuses a huge range of passenger and commercial vehicles daily. Its diverse rental requirements led Balfour Beatty Fleet Services, who supply many of the vehicles, to procure from a large supplier network, incurring additional administration costs. Nexus has consolidated supply and relationships to a single point and provided bespoke applications tailored to suit the particular needs of Balfour Beatty Fleet Services, delivering enhanced solutions at reduced cost.

The next new contract is withLeasePlan UK, part of the world’s largest fleet management company, with a UK fleet in excess of 125,000, including 32,000 commercial vehicles. Working across varied business sectors requiring bespoke vehicle requirements, LeasePlan was keen to add to its supplier base to support the needs of its customers and Nexus have now become one LeasePlan’s rental suppliers. The LeasePlan rental business will now run on a Nexus IRIS platform which has been tailored to support the expansion of the company’s rental business.

Pendragon Contract Hireserves corporate fleets throughout the UK through provision of services including fleet contract hire, fleet management and short term rental. Implementing Nexus’ innovative IRIS platform has allowed Pendragon to develop a cost effective rental service provision for its clients through execution of the full rental process, efficient management of the supplier network and tailored reporting throughout. Nexus has further introduced software to assist the company in managing its own in-house rental fleet.

The final new contract win saw the company implement a bespoke Nexus platform to manage the entire rental operation of a major international fleet business. The systems introduced by Nexus allow the company to manage its supplier network cost effectively, time efficiently and with minimal administration.
