Money Saving Tips From DealJungle
Save The Environment And Your Money
Go green! Energy-efficient technology will save you money over the lifespan of your computers, phone systems and all other electrical devices. There are also tax benefits associated with using green technology, and of course that happy feeling you get from knowing you’ve helped the environment too.
It sounds so simple but turning off equipment after you’ve finished using it can reduce consumption (and the associated bills) by 25%. What’s more, by turning off all computers at the end of the day you may be able to cut your energy bills in half.
Also, try to reduce the number of phone lines by simply configuring office PCs to send and receive faxes – which can easily be done when using a Windows operating system. Not only does this keep costs down, it further simplifies office communications, helping to boost efficiency.
Use Flexible Working Agreements
Why pay for an office and all its associated costs when for many firms working from home provides an option which is just as good and productive? If you work with freelancers and contractors then why not let them get on with the task in hand from the comfort of their own home – they may enjoy it more and produce better quality work, saving you money in the process.
If you really do need a physical, dedicated office (and most firms do at some point) then why not sub-let any space you don’t need? This means you get additional income to cover costs and the freedom to use the room in future should you require.
If space is all you need, why not consider industrial space rather than commercial? Yes it is less glamorous, but for many firms, particularly those which are not client facing, they offer a perfectly adequate and more importantly, a cost effective, way to work.
