Celebrating the North East’s green revolution

Businesses operating in the region’s fast growing energy and environmental sectors have an opportunity to showcase their expertise at a major event taking placing in the North East.

Energy and Environment North East 2012 will celebrate the North East’s ‘Green Revolution’ when it takes place at the Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel on Wednesday June 27.

The event is being organised by the Energy and Environmental Industries Forum (EEIF) and is sponsored by SITA UK Ltd and Sintons LLP.

It will attract leading businesses and opinion formers from the region and beyond and represents an ideal opportunity for organisations in the low carbon sector to engage key players and discover how major low-carbon projects can create new business opportunities.

The EEIF is offering a range of opportunities for exhibitors to promote new technologies and services at the event with packages beginning from £295.

Companies already signed up to exhibit include Narec, Metrohm UK, Kocos Messtechnik UK Ltd, Make it Sunderland – the inward investment arm of Sunderland City Council, Sintons LLP, Patrick Parsons and DTW.

Nikki Silcock from the EEIF said: “This is a great opportunity to showcase the North East’s low carbon expertise and for people to develop new contacts and business opportunities with like minded partners across a range of energy and environmental industries.

“We’re fortunate to have a vibrant and developing low carbon goods and environmental services sector. We have a good infrastructure, a strong skills base, many exciting businesses and a real opportunity to ensure the region is at the forefront of future growth.”

Energy and Environment North East will showcase the region’s most innovative low-carbon projects, products, technologies and services which are capable of creating thousands of new jobs and attracting millions in investment.

It will feature a line-up of experts and guest speakers from some of the region’s biggest low carbon projects including:
