City Lifeline supports Japanese business expansion into Europe

City Lifeline, the Central London independent colocation data centre, has been chosen by Japanese information technology systems integrator IIJ Exlayer to support the company’s global expansion into the European market.

With recent figures suggesting that the Japanese economy is bouncing back, IIJ Exlayer has decided to host its IT systems at Lifeline House to drive the company’s vision to become a leading globally trusted systems integrator. City Lifeline’s colocation services will enable IIJ Exlayer to offer the highest quality, professionally delivered IT services to its Asian customers moving into Europe. City Lifeline offered a professional central London location based near IIJ Exlayer’s Liverpool Street offices, allowing easy access to its complex IT systems.

Roger Keenan, managing director of City Lifeline, commented: “It is encouraging to see that successful Japanese companies are now bringing their expertise and prosperity to the UK economy. The industry has seen some tough times in recent years, so the fact that successful Asian companies are heading back to the UK is a positive sign. IIJ Exlayer is a fantastic Japanese IT company, and we are proud to help them expand their already successful businesses into Europe.”

Junji Araj, manager of IIJ Exlayer, added: “Our current customer base is 90 per cent Japanese, with many of the larger companies moving over to Europe. London worked out to be the perfect location for us to expand into the European markets, and we found ourselves in need of a trusted data centre to support our plans. The flexibility of City Lifeline’s services really appealed to us. Also, the company’s dedication to meeting our business needs sat comfortably with our customer orientated approach. Working with City Lifelife, we feel confident that we can continue to offer an uncompromising quality of service to all our customers.”
