Pitching for Management form partnership with Bridge Club

Pitching for Management [www.pitching4management.com](http://www.pitching4management.com/? target=) and Bridge Club Ltd [www.bridgeclubnorth.com](http://www.bridgeclubnorth.com/? target=) have announced the formation of a strategic partnership to encourage entrepreneurs to build their management teams by hiring individuals from the UK’s most talented senior executives.

The strategic partnership will focus on the North East in particular where Bridge Club is a leading early-stage entrepreneurs’ network and will include co-operation to ensure that the highest potential businesses in the region are given the support they need in finding people. The Bridge Club’s open community of entrepreneurs, investors, professional service providers and business-people will be invited to attend Newcastle Pitching for Management events.

As part of the strategic partnership entrepreneurs, executives and Pitching for Management local champions will have the opportunity to share the expertise and connections offered to Bridge Club members including invitations to FIRST, Fresh Friday, Generate Ventures LLP and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce.

Caroline Theobald, Managing Director of Bridge Club said:

“Pitching for Management is the perfect solution for early stage businesses who are cash strapped, but also for those further along their business journey. Through a pitch they can find the people who will join their management team and help to deliver the potential the business offers.”

“We work closely with early-stage entrepreneurs in the region and see the opportunity they have of fulfilling their potential if they can create the teams that have the knowhow and expertise to deliver the results. Meanwhile there is a groundswell of interest from senior executives based in the North East in spending part of their career helping small and medium sized businesses to grow. We are delighted that we can now bring these two communities together in such an effective way.”

Modwenna Rees-Mogg, Co-founder of Pitching for Management said:

“The enthusiasm and commitment of Caroline Theobald and her team at The Bridge Club to helping companies maximise their opportunities are very closely aligned to our own. We are very excited about the potential of this partnership and what it will do to grow the market for building really strong management teams in the most exciting young businesses in the North East today.”

Russell Henderson, CEO of Makur Media, who pitched for a CTO and a Non-Executive Director at the last Pitching for Management event said:

“Pitching for Management is an excellent way to extend our network and to meet potential collaborators and colleagues. You are surrounded by a room full of experienced individuals who are interested in helping you to take the next step with your business by sharing their knowledge and expertise. Not only do you get some insightful feedback about your business and ideas, but you also get the chance to meet with people that you might not normally mix with, as everyone is from such diverse backgrounds. “

Alex Shiel, Partner and Head of Intellectual Property at law firm Ward Hadaway, which is hosting Pitching for Management on 28th June, said:

“Some of the UK’s greatest entrepreneurs are based here in Newcastle and they are the ones who will drive the recovery both locally and nationally. We are supporting Pitching for Management because it is helping entrepreneurs to grow better and faster, and we want to help them build their teams so they can fulfil their ambitions. This event provides a simple practical solution to the biggest challenge any fast growing business faces – gathering the team around the business opportunity so it can be exploited to its maximum potential.”

Pitching for Management and the new north-east partnership has been endorsed by Lucy Armstrong, Chair of the Capital for Enterprise Ltd and the CBI’s small business council and CEO of the Alchemists, who said: ‘Pitching for Management is an excellent initiative and Modwenna’s approach makes a lot of sense, both in this context and in that of Angel News. It is also good to see that she’s teamed up with Caroline who has always put the interests of start-up and growing businesses at the heart of her business.’

Caroline Theobald will be speaking at Newcastle Pitching for Management on 28th June. The event starts at 4.00pm at the offices of Ward Hadaway.
