Support package for two UK product businesses
The winners of the Business in You campaign’s support package have been announced.
Birmingham’s Mama Designs won the growth business category for their ‘Mamascarf’ product which helps breastfeeding mothers.
Bristol-based Alago, manufacturers of heated sports gloves also won support in the start-up category.
The prizes for each firm will include mentoring from successful and established entrepreneurs; Wilfred Emmanuel Jones, Penny Power, Carl Hopkins and Mike Southon.
An advice service session with a firm of chartered accountants accredited by the ICAEW will also form part of the prize, along with a one-to-one business lunch with the finance director of hospitality company Sanguine; filming and editing services from Prysm; a year’s membership of the Institute of Recruiters; five half-day sessions on accessing finance from Grant Thornton; and one year’s general finance mentoring support through the Bank’s Better Business Finance programme run by Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds RBS and Santander through the BBA.
