Evolution LLP lands top industry award

A TeesValley accountancy business has fought off competition from some of the biggest finance firms in the region to land a major award less than two years after its inception.

Tees Valley-based Evolution LLP has been named Independent Firm of the Year at the North East Accountancy Awards 2012.

Judges were looking for evidence that Evolution had not only met but exceeded its clients’ expectations, as well as adding significant value.

The firm was recognised for the impact it has had on its local community since its launch in July 2010 as well as the group’s successful growth in recent months and the quality of its client services.

Managing partner Martin Barber said: “We have spent a considerable amount of time and effort over the last 18 months making Evolution what it is today. From a branding, marketing and team perspective we have worked hard to develop and improve to ensure we provide a top class service to our clients and add value to them and their businesses.

“This award is a recognition of this, but the fact that we as a Tees Valley business have won it against City-based accountants is extremely pleasing not only for us but for the area as a whole and shows that the Tees Valley has a lot to offer; clients don’t need to go to Newcastle or Leeds for top class service and value.

“This is hopefully the first award of many – we intend to go from strength to strength and take our clients and team with us!”

The firm acts for a wide range of clients from sole traders to multinationals and offers a broad spectrum of services including personal tax returns and tax planning for high net-worth individuals.
