4D Data Centres partners with City Lifeline

City Lifeline, the central London colocation data centre, and 4D Data Centres are now able to offer colocation services on each other’s sites through a strategic partnership. A new high-capacity dedicated fibre link has been installed between City Lifeline’s central London site near Moorgate and 4D’s flagship data centre in Byfleet, Surrey. Both data centres can now offer full mirroring of critical operations and dedicated, reliable, independent, geographically diverse backup and disaster recovery services to their customers.

Founded in 1999, 4D Data Centres offer colocation and connectivity services. The company has won a coveted place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for the last two years in a row, and has four sites in Surrey, London Docklands, Kent and now space within City Lifeline’s Central London data centre.

Jack Bedell-Pearce, managing director at 4D, said: “Partnering with City Lifeline means we can offer colocation, data storage and mirroring operations in Central London and transfer data speedily and cost effectively over our mutual 1GB connection. City Lifeline’s location makes it a great partner site. We have confidence in their staff and systems and look forward to providing our customers with excellent connectivity to Central London at a reasonable price. We chose City Lifeline for its premium service and personalised support, and because we know that the two companies have a similar professional working ethos.”

Roger Keenan, managing director at City Lifeline, explains: “We are thrilled to partner with 4D, as we can both benefit from one another’s expertise, locations and connectivity. In this highly competitive market, both our companies are already seeing increases in our sales. This new relationship enhances both companies’ portfolios of product offerings and will lead to further business opportunities.”
