Internet marketing company first for apprenticeships in Yorkshire

Managing director is extremely passionate about the valuable role apprentices can play in business.

Neogain, the growing Hull-based full service internet marketing company, recently employed two apprenticeship students who wanted to learn website development.

However, not content with being the only company in Yorkshire using the Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship Training Agency (YHATA) apprenticeship scheme to support students who want to learn website development, they have just announced the full-time employment of a third apprentice this week.

Lewis Beedham and Jamie Cartledge have joined Neogain as Junior Website Developers. During their working day, they actively participate on numerous website projects. Their tasks include website construction, logo design, banner construction, website testing and social media development. New apprentice, Matty Jones, joins the Neogain team this week straight from having finished school.

All three apprentices will not only gain a qualification but also receive on the job training and learning that provides them with the necessary skills to progress with website development. Lewis and Jamie are already both working well with Neogain and will contribute towards growing the company, offering as much as the company can offer them.

Neogain recognises that the apprentices have many different creative attributes that can support the company and aim to help develop their skills using Google AdWords.

Mike Jones, Managing Director of Neogain explains:

“I have always recognised the need for businesses to support the development of local school leavers. Having worked closely with Hull College I am delighted to have been able to offer two apprenticeships with a further joiner expected in the next month.

“I believe that our apprentices have a lot to offer to the company so combining our experience with the apprentice’s raw talent we have an attractive prospect to our clients.

“We really do hope this is the start of great things to come as we are keen to see more development with local education providers to offer school leavers with exciting new qualifications which support the rapidly growing online marketing industry.

“Neogain is keen to support these students in learning these useful skills to help address a skills shortage in the locality.”
