Biggest losers
The Berkeley PR golf team from Theale was hoping to retain its title for a third year running as losers at its own tournament, but was pipped to the post this year by the London based new business agency Alchemis at a fundraiser played out on Caversham Heath Golf Club.
The competition was won by Carter Electrical who were the lucky winners of a GoApe family day out at a tree-top adventure of their choice.
The Berkeley PR Open Championship was a fundraiser for the 89thScout Group that successfully raised £2300. The money will go towards creating a caving experience to the old mines beneath the existing scout hut in Kiln Lane, Emmer Green.
Budgens in Emmer Green provided the water, bananas and chocolate, Drews of Reading provided the Champagne for nearest the pin won by Michael Edwards from haveyouseen.com and longest drive won by Steve Marshall. Local technology firm Adax provided a case of champagne for the auction that also went to Michael Edwards.
