Elkie Brookes sings to a standing ovation

Bdaily attended another sparkling evening at The Playhouse in Whitley Bay where Elkie Brookes walked the boards.

A singer from my childhood, I was anticipating a singer who was past her best. But on came a bouncing, fit Elkie who’s body shape matched the shape of her vocals.

Famous for her crystal clear voice, and long notes, Elkie sang beautifully throughout her 2.5 hour performance.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening, with a packed audience making the atmosphere very positive and the evening a great success.
