Brandauer hosts 150th anniversary dinner ‘thank you’
Brandauer celebrated a major milestone in style when it hosted more than 80 of its closest suppliers, customers and business partners.
The event, which was held at Moor Hall in Sutton Coldfield, was designed to recognise the support the company has received over the last 150 years.
During that time, the Birmingham-based firm has grown into one of the world’s leading specialists in precision components, supplying customers across the automotive, domestic goods, electronics, medical and renewable sectors.
David Spears, Managing Director at Brandauer, commented: “This was the first time we’ve been able to get everyone together to say thank you for helping us through the good and bad times.
“During the 150 years we’ve gone from being pioneers in the pen trade to supplying critical components to the Large Hadron Collider and the next generation of portable power generation.”
He continued: “We’ve only been able to achieve this evolution due to the skills, expertise and close partnerships we have built with both our suppliers and our customers.
“There has also been great support from the likes of the Manufacturing Advisory Service, UKTI and SEMTA.”
A year of anniversary celebrations are planned, with Brandauer already launching its own book and hosting a special visit by HRH Princess Royal.
It also recently invited Lord Digby Jones to start production on its two new high-speed Bruderer Presses, a record-breaking £750,000 investment by the company.
