Clearwater launches internship programme to develop young talent

Leading mid-market advisory firm Clearwater Corporate Finance has continued its support of young talent across the UK by launching its internship programme for the second year running.

The firm has announced that it will be recruiting undergraduates to its London, Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham offices.

The year-long paid placements commencing in July each year are designed to develop young talent in all areas of the business by supporting the deal origination, research and deal teams. Students will achieve a clear understanding of exit strategy, company sales, MBOs, corporate acquisitions and debt advisory.

Ravinder Judge joined the intern programme last year while she took a year out during her studies in mathematics with economics at Aston University, in Birmingham.

She said: “The past year has been absolutely amazing. Working alongside deal leaders and originators has provided me with the fundamental skills to work within the challenging corporate finance industry.

“My role has been primarily within support services allowing me to encompass such a breadth of businesses in a variety of sectors including catering, cleaning, energy and recruitment.”

Paul Jones, partner at Clearwater Corporate Finance, said: “More than a third of UK graduates are employed in low-skilled jobs at the moment. It is often extremely difficult for them to find work because employers usually turn to those with more experience.

“The internship programme will harness the potential of young talent and provide them with the resources and skills necessary to get a job once they graduate. This reflects our commitment and dedication to nurture young individuals who have a developing interest in corporate finance.”
