Our First Blog Post

A couple of weeks ago, the 4thJuly to be precise, Steve van Dulken an intellectual property expert from the British Library was kind enough to visit us and hold an event: ‘In Conversation with the Patent and IP Expert’. It was a great event where we picked up a lot of interesting stories useful information and handy tips.

This got us thinking; we are passionate about patents, trade marks and all forms of intellectual property. As part of PATLIB UK, a network of patent advice centres that feed into an even bigger network of European centres we free advice on intellectual property protection and registration but we are also keen to discuss best practice, comment on interesting developments and highlight the innovative work that has, and continues to be carried out, in the North East.

With that in mind we thought, where else better to share or experiences than through our bDaily blog. Over the coming weeks we plan to share information on historical patents, highlight news about intellectual property regionally and internationally, share our success stories and give people an idea of what happens behind the scenes here in the Business & IP Centre Newcastle.

So keep an eye out for our second instalment and we hope you find what we have to say interesting and informative.
