Intimate Kitty Brings Affordable Luxury To The Region

A brand new luxurious lingerie range is being created by Intimate Kitty Ltd that first began its life based on research started in 1913. Although almost a century has passed between the initial research and the development of this innovative range of underwear, new technologies have enabled Intimate Kitty to build on the initial concept and launch a technologically advanced product.

Intimate Kitty Ltd is being supported through the development and commercialisation process by C2M (UK) Ltd and is situated in their new innovation hub in Durham. The company engaged with C2M to utilise their engineering design expertise to ensure the superior performance of the pioneering bra. Using the latest 3D CAD software, the whole concept of support was re-engineered to make it a more comfortable garment for larger breasted ladies to wear. Statistics show that over 70% of women wear the wrong size bra, and more so in this region.

The last eight months have been very productive with the main focus aimed at perfecting the design and testing this revolutionary new bra which will be a key piece for the Intimate Kitty Brand. All products will be designed, sourced and manufactured in the UK and is already fully design registered, trademarked and has the patent pending.

Catherine Batey, Managing Director, commented, “The Intimate Kitty concept has grown from strength to strength and we delighted to announce we’ve just employed our first member of staff. Rebecca Marshall joins the team from a career in the industry and has the perfect experience to support the company in its objectives to develop its first full range.”

“The team are benefitting from being based at the new manufacturing site and will be looking to establish a new production facility to produce affordable luxury lingerie right here in the region” continued Catherine Batey.

Intimate Kitty recently completed an online survey in which over 700 individuals took part and was astonished to find how many women aren’t satisfied with the supportive bras that are currently on the market. Many respondents stated that the Intimate Kitty bra successfully meets their needs and further tests and trials will be implemented to ensure the successful launch of the range due to be launched in 2013.

The company has also engaged KTL Training in Nottingham who recently worked with Mary Portas on her TV show ‘Bottomline’ and will support Intimate Kitty when it takes on apprentices later this year.
