Humber LEP Advisory Board announced
The Humber LEP has announced a new Advisory Board, made up of leading business figures from around the region.
It will act as a “sounding board” for the LEP Board, and direct the work of the Humber LEP Forum, launched in February to involve the wider business community and stakeholders in the LEPs work.
Over 50 people had applied for a place on the 22-strong Advisory Board in an open recruitment process.
Advisory Board Chair Richard Tuplin said: “The number and standard of applications
we received clearly showed the level of commitment and attitude from the Humber business community.
“The aim of the advisory board is to bring all the key organisations from the area together so we can support and grow the local economy grasping every opportunity, to support Lord Haskins and the LEP Board and finally support each other. Now it’s time to get down to business!”
Humber LEP Chair Lord Haskins added: “I am impressed by the number of experienced and knowledgeable businesspeople who have again put themselves forward to support the LEP’s work.
“We have got a high calibre Advisory Board who will play a crucial role as a sounding board to the LEP and help us to consult with the business community on our plans and priorities.”
