Does Osborne need to go?

After figures released yesterday indicated that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) figures have fallen for the third quarter in a row, many commentators are suggesting that the Chancellor is not up to the job of saving our ailing economy.

GDP fell by 0.7% - far more than the anticipated 0.2% - confirming fears that the economy would take more than a year or two to get back to growth. These results will put the PM in a difficult position ahead of the forthcoming reshuffle, as while Mr Osborne has come up with some good ideas, his austerity programme has hardly had the desired effect of rejuvenating the economy.

However, it must be noted that the current economic problems have been caused by others apart from the current Government, and it is easy to make Mr Osborne the scapegoat for the dismal figures.

So what do you think - does David Cameron need to reconsider George Osborne’s’ position in the Coalition?
