Sky the limit for female solar energy team
A Billingham-based firm offering comprehensive support to people looking to make their homes more energy efficient has gained a prestigious quality mark in record time.
Jayvee Renewables, part of Jayvee Building Services Ltd, offers a “one stop shop” service to customers looking to install solar photovoltaic roof panels.
The three-woman renewable energy team was only established in February, but has already secured Micro Certification Scheme Accreditation for installing solar photovoltaic systems in just two months. The average time for installers to gain the independent quality mark is between four and six months.
Founder Julie Vaulks wanted to expand the existing building services company into the renewable sector to help her customers create their own electricity and benefit from financial savings available.
By installing the panels, householders can make any surplus energy they create available to the nation and in doing so benefit from the Government’s inflation linked and tax free 21p per KWp Feed in Tariff.
Ms Vaulks said: “We’re thrilled to have been recognised in such a short space of time. Jayvee Renewables doesn’t just put panels on the roof. We guide our customers through the installation from start to finish and help them with any planning and building control issues that might arise. We will even help people fill in all the paperwork with the utility company enabling them to claim the tariff payment.
“We recognise that with energy prices rising, householders want to look at ways of saving on their bills and solar panels are an obvious way of doing that – reaping the benefits of a natural resource and putting money back in people’s pockets.”
